AMPHIBIOUS TRANSPORT WITH SPEED AND AGILITY
The 16-metre “Sea Keeper” Fast Landing Craft benefits from a proven design and ADSB construction excellence to offer a world-class rapid amphibious supply vessel for transport of vehicles and equipment. Powered by twin marine diesel engines driving waterjet propulsion units, the Sea Keeper can achieve speeds of 35 knots with limited cargo, and 30 knots with 4,000 kg of deck cargo.
With waterjet propulsion units, the vessel is highly manoeuvrable at all speeds and has the advantage of safe shallow-water operation. A hull tunnel “vent system” is incorporated into the ship design, providing improved speed and fuel consumption.
The bow-ramp door allows access for vehicles of Humvee size and a wide range of mobile equipment for amphibious landing on beaches and similar shorelines. The below-deck structure incorporates approximately 11m3 of marine-buoyancy foam to support floatation, even if the boat structure is severely compromised.
