The POWERTECH P145i is a boxer 2-stroke, 6-cylinder fuel-injection engine with separated lubrication, a flat engine configuration, and a shorter and lighter crankshaft. This makes for easier installation into medium-altitude, longendurance UAVs and other light aerial vehicles.
Capable of operating in all weather conditions, the engine has more than 20 sensors and multiple function redundancies for improved reliability. The 72mm engine bore and 76mm stroke qualify the engine as a long-stroke engine, providing key benefits such as higher torque, low RPM rate and better fuel efficiency.
