XRANGE brings flexible, multi-domain Training, Test and Evaluation (TT&E) capabilities to the heart of the
Middle East. Commercial and military customers can conduct complex, air, ground and maritime trials in a
secure, instrumented and ultimately, safe environment. XRANGE allows our Global clients to test and verify the
performance of their platforms, systems and munitions across their lifecycle - from concept design and acquisition to through to operational upgrades. XRANGE has the ability to cater for a wide range of platforms and systems, such as unmanned air, ground and maritime platforms, through to testing mission critical sensors and Electronic Warfare systems as well as conventional munitions. Our trials are delivered with support from our highly qualified teams of Test Engineers and Subject Matter Experts and underpinned by the gathering of critical trials data via modern surveillance assets, range telemetry, RF monitoring and data acquisition systems.

A short 100km drive from Abu Dhabi city, XRANGE is located on a highly secure, access controlled island approximately 8km offshore. It is 35km by 15km, enabling a land danger area of 355km2, inclusive of a 3.8-kmlong, 60-metre-wide ICAO standard runway and a smaller 1.2KM long runway. XRANGE provides airspace clearance up to 10,000ft which can be extended to 40,000ft when required and an additional 2,500km2 of airspace can be activated via NOTAM. A 50km2 sea danger area enables shallow water testing of maritime assets and systems. Operationally accessible year-round and ideal for hot weather trials due to its arid, humid and dusty environment, the fully functional runway and ability to clear UAE customs on the island mean customers can fly directly into and out of XRANGE, simplifying logistics.
